In dentistry, the term "guided surgery" can be defined as a digital workflow through virtual planning based on data about the patient's final dentures. It can also be called "flapless surgical technique". It reduces patient’s discomfort, operation time, postoperative bleeding and recovery time with a minimally invasive technique without flap opening, that is, without incision in soft tissue.
Guided surgery allows implant surgery to be done in a more comfortable and more accurate position. It is also a safer method as it reduces the possibility of complications such as damage to the alveolar nerve and sinus perforation.
